SANTEE “GETS FRESH” WITH NEW LA SALSA FRESH MEXICAN GRILL®
La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill has just opened its 14th location in the San Diego area at the Santee Trolley Square in early May (9828 Mission Gorge Road). The popular quick casual Mexican restaurant chain has gained acclaim for its menu of made-to-order Mexican fare that is prepared using only fresh ingredients.

The restaurant features a contemporary-casual décor replete with bold abstract murals, an exhibition-styled kitchen allowing guests to view their food being prepared, comfortable seating areas and a unique salsa bar offering seven varieties that are made fresh daily. Among the varieties of salsa are Mexicana, buena, roasted tomato, verde, mango, avocado and fiery-hot habanero. In addition, a wide variety of domestic and imported beers also will be available.
Boasting a menu of traditional Mexican entrees made of high-quality ingredients, La Salsa’s menu items are noted for being fresh and flavorful. Popular menu items include the Fresca Platter, which consists of a choice of grilled chicken or sirloin steak and an assortment of fajita-style vegetables drizzled with Salsa Casera and a robust Ancho Chile sauce and topped with jack and cheddar cheeses served with a small side salad and sides of salsa Mexicana, sour cream, guacamole and chile-lime dressing; award-winning Baja-style fish tacos filled with grilled Mahi Mahi, cabbage, cheese, tangy Baja sauce and a squeeze of lime; and the Los Cabos shrimp burrito featuring grilled shrimp, Sonora sauce, fire-roasted fajita veggies, rice, cheese, cabbage, crema and avocado. The menu items range in price from $2.50 to $7.95. A children’s menu and vegetarian items also are available.
