LA SALSA AND DREAM FOUNDATION GRANT WISHES FOR
TERMINALLY ILL THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill and the Dream Foundation have launched a new fundraising campaign this holiday season aimed at fulfilling the dreams of terminally ill adults. Beginning November 24 and through January 1, 2004, participating La Salsa locations will donate 10 percent of all GrandeTrayä party platter proceeds to the Dream Foundation. La Salsa will also accept monetary donations for the foundation via its Web site, www.lasalsa.com.
“La Salsa has a long history of giving back to the community, and we are happy to assist the Dream Foundation in granting wishes,” stated Mike Liby, executive vice president and COO of La Salsa. “Through this campaign, we hope to spread a little joy to the individuals and families affected by terminal illness and empower our customers to lend their support as well.”
Ideal for office parties or family gatherings, La Salsa’s GrandeTrays serve six to eight and are available in three combinations: a Taquito GrandeTray, Taco GrandeTray and Burrito GrandeTray.
La Salsa will provide gift certificates for menu items to individuals who donate to the Dream Foundation through its Web site. Those who donate $25 or more will receive the following:
§ $25 donation – free chips and guacamole
§ $50 donation – any two La Salsa entrées
§ $100 donation – complimentary GrandeTray of their choice
§ $1,000 donation, the cost to grant one adult’s dream – a catered fajita party for 15 guests
“This incredible support from La Salsa will help the Dream Foundation continue making dreams come true,” said Thomas Rollerson, president and founder of Dream Foundation. “We are proud to partner with a company that has such a strong commitment to corporate philanthropy.”
La Salsa first partnered with the Dream Foundation in November 2002 through its parent company, CKE Restaurants, Inc. La Salsa has provided meals to dream recipients to use on their dream vacations.
Dream Foundation is a national pioneer in granting wishes to terminally ill adults and their families. Since it’s founding in 1997, Dream Foundation has fulfilled thousands of dreams from adults who are emotionally, financially and physically devastated by terminal illness. Their goal is to ensure that no adult, whose life will end prematurely due to a terminal illness, must ever pass from this earth without realizing one final wish from the heart. Additional information on the Dream Foundation can be found on its Web site, www.dreamfoundation.org.
